Hands-on experiences with foraging, harvesting, washing, chopping, mixing, and tasting. Includes herbal teas, simple snacks, fire-side prep, lunch, and discussions about food as fuel and care.
Ages 4-12
What To Bring
Each child must have the following in his backpack:
Snack and/or Lunch (should you think they may not want the menu items offered - menu shared the week before)
Full water bottle - we have a spot to refill with clean, city water.
Travel-sized hand sanitizer
Change of clothes (optional) - if your child is prone to having accidents or is uncomfortable wearing clothes after getting muddy, please pack a change of clothes in a waterproof bag (Ziploc works).
*The backpack itself should be the appropriate size for your child, fit all of the belongings, and preferably have a chest strap for hiking.
Fork + Spoon for Wild Kitchens Camp
Children must have APPROPRIATE OUTDOOR CLOTHING - Rain gear includes jacket AND pants, cotton should be avoided on wet or cold days.
